This Convergence Writers’ Weekend pre-event features author Galadriel Watson in a free, one-hour “Coffee with a Writer” in New Denver. Scheduled for high noon on Saturday, May 4th, the workshop will take place at the Outlet Youth Centre, 306 6th Ave., New Denver. All writers welcome!

Galadriel Watson has just published her 23^rd non-fiction book for children (Extreme Abilities: Amazing Human Feats and the Simple Science Behind Them). She has also been published in outlets like The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail and Discovermagazine, and on CBC Radio. In addition, she writes fiction and comics, and has taught creative writing at Camosun College in Victoria. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts With Distinction in Writing from the University of Victoria.
