Conversations with the Dying
April 25, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
“Conversations with the Dying” is a series of short talks followed by discussion. Participants will consider the range of beliefs that people hold about dying and what happens afterward; look at how a hospice volunteer, family member or friend might assist someone to say what they long to say–or need to say–before they die; and explore the pitfalls inherent in family communication during the death process. Finally, we’ll examine our own fear of heart-to-heart speech with someone who is dying. Therese DesCamp will present the short talks on these topics and moderate discussion after each.
Open to the public, for free. Knox Hall. Hospice volunteers, family and friends especially welcome. Sponsored by Hospice with support from Wide Spot.
