Contemplative in the Kootenays meets (mostly!) monthly in New Denver. This day-long event (10 am to 3 pm) is open to contemplatives across the Kootenays; most of us practice Centering Prayer, but not everyone. Most of us are Christian, but not everyone. Most of us come regularly, but not everyone!

This month we’ll be exploring movement as a tool for grounding but also as an essential part of the contemplative path. We will be learning several body chants and exploring the felt sense they engender. We’ll also be doing lectio divina together, doing walking meditation, having a teaching time, and celebrating open communion.

Please wear comfy clothes, bring your lunch, a journal and any sitting gear you need, and be prepared to walk outside!
