Contemplative in the Kootenays

Contemplative in the Kootenays will meet on Saturday, June 22nd. The day begins at 10 am and ends at 3 pm, at the home of Leah Seaman, just south of Kaslo. Directions are below. We’ll begin with centering prayer (surrender meditation) and move into lectio divina, discussion, more meditation, and a short presentation.  We close with open communion. Fall Retreat: Love and Suffering

The path of mystics, the path of depth, is always the result of love and suffering. Love itself draws us into suffering, because if we open ourselves to the vulnerability of love, we will inevitably suffer.
