Convergence Writers’ Weekend: Keeping a Civil Tongue

Mark your calendars for June 15 and 16, the annual Convergence Writers' Weekend.  This year's theme is "Keeping a Civil Tongue," and our feature authors are James Hoggan (I'm Right and You're an Idiot) and the Kootenay's own Donna MacDonald (Surviving City Hall). Contemplative in the Kootenays: Fall Retreat

The Fall Retreat for Contemplative in the Kootenays is now scheduled!  Starting at dinner on Friday, September 28th, and running through lunch on Sunday, September 30th, we'll be meeting at Yasodhara Ashram on the east side of Kootenay Lake. Registration is limited to 12 although we might be able to stretch to 15. Blue December, a drop-in event sponsored by WideSpot and Hospice, will take place on Sunday, December 16th at Knox Hall. In the midst of holiday frivolity, this is a quiet and safe space to acknowledge the losses of the year. Contemplative in the Kootenays

Contemplative in the Kootenays will meet on Saturday, January 26th. The day begins at 10 am and ends at 3 pm, at the home of Leah Seaman, just south of Kaslo. Directions are below.
