WideSpot in the Road is the name for our occasional community dinner and discussion group. We call them wide spots because there’s room here for everyone. Our goal is not to find the answers but to experience the joy of exploring the questions together.
This no-cost event is held during the fall, winter and spring. Due to the fire at the Village Hearth Restaurant in New Denver, we will be changing our venue to the Apple Tree Restaurant, at least for the rest of the spring. In general, we meet from 4 to 6 pm on designated Sunday afternoons, we share focused, facilitated discussion on a topic. Introduced by music by the incomparable Freya (Martine DenBok and Noel Fudge), we’ll investigate the week’s question as a group. After 5 pm conversation continues over a light supper.
Childcare is free of charge, and takes place at the Youth Centre. Childcare is provided from 3:45 until the adult discussion is over, when the kids are invited to join us for dinner.
