The Spring Retreat for Contemplative in the Kootenays will begin at 9 am, Saturday, April 27th, and end after lunch on Sunday, April 28th. Our theme for the weekend will be The Cloud of Unknowing, the 14th century anonymous text which is much of the source for the practice of Centering Prayer. The weekend will consist of Centering Prayer practice, lectio divina on passages from The Cloud, and several short talks.

As preparation for this retreat, please purchase and begin to read this book. Recommended translation would be the one by Ira Progroff or Carmen Acevedo Butcher.

We will share the expense and work of meal preparation and clean up. This will include lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. Registrants will be contacted regarding how this will work closer to the date. If you are coming from out of town, there are local accommodations available.

The event will be held in New Denver; because Knox Hall is under construction, we will probably meet at the home of Therese DesCamp. To be confirmed!
