Convergence Writers’ Weekend: Keeping a Civil Tongue

June 15, 2018 - June 16, 2018

Mark your calendars for June 15 and 16, the annual Convergence Writers’ Weekend.  This year’s theme is “Keeping a Civil Tongue,” and our feature authors are James Hoggan (I’m Right and You’re an Idiot) and the Kootenay’s own Donna MacDonald (Surviving City Hall).

The weekend begins with an open Friday evening talk by both authors, followed by Q & A.  Saturday all-day workshops will be with Donna and with Art Joyce. poet and novelist.  The Saturday evening celebration will include a multi-dimensional presentation with music, dance and poetry, as well as a time for readings from workshop members.

Registration will begin in early March.  Once again, grants from multiple sources and donations by our featured speakers will keep the weekend affordable: $45 includes both Friday evening and all Saturday events.
