Conversations with the Dying

"Conversations with the Dying" is a series of short talks followed by discussion.  Participants will consider the range of beliefs that people hold about dying and what happens afterward; look at how a hospice volunteer, family member or friend might assist someone to say what they long to say--or need to say--before they die; and explore the pitfalls inherent in family communication during the death process. Finally, we'll examine our own fear of heart-to-heart speech with someone who is dying.…

Contemplative in the Kootenays

Contemplative in the Kootenays will meet in New Denver on Saturday, April 28th, from 10 am to 3 pm. We’ll meet at Knox Hall, 521 6th Ave., just east of the one and only traffic light in town. Convergence Writers’ Weekend: Keeping a Civil Tongue

Contemplative in the Kootenays: Fall Retreat

The Fall Retreat for Contemplative in the Kootenays is now scheduled!  Starting at dinner on Friday, September 28th, and running through lunch on Sunday, September 30th, we'll be meeting at Yasodhara Ashram on the east side of Kootenay Lake.
